This summer went by at a normal pace, I must say. My internship took two days out of the week – I interned at an architectural firm – and ballet took three days. My weeks were pretty packed, but awesome!
Anime Expo was a blast; I went as Sailor Pluto, but unfortunately, my costume was only 80% done. My friend wanted to see it so I wore it without the gloves and tiara. I’ll be making the time staff soon. The picture to the right is the time key belt I finished making yesterday. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Amethyst Angel‘s styrene tutorials. I made the keys out of plastic and used Testor’s Enamels to paint them. Wonderful stuff!
I’ll put pictures of the costume up when I’m completely done. But besides Sailor Pluto, I’m planning two more costumes: Tethys (Fire Emblem) and Misaki (Kaichou wa Maid-sama). I was going to do Fang (Final Fantasy XIII) but I need to use up my extra fabric before I buy more… Money isn’t easy to come by, I’m sure a lot of you know!
For those of you who know of Magic: The Gathering, I’ve been spending this summer sharpening my skills in it. And luckily, I have friends who play in tournaments (they’re so good)! And apparently, pure artifact decks are sort of disliked. I don’t quite understand why because I play a colourless deck based on Myrs and it’s fun. But I have other decks to use also. Oh, well.

Pretty necklace
Mike plays Magic… he has one deck that he plays IRL and a few that he tests out on this free online Magic thing. I tried learning but I didn’t catch on and gave up.

Wow, sounds like you’ve been busy lately XD I hope you post photos of your costume. The time key belt looks pretty. I’d love to see the whole thing together! This makes me miss cosplay. I haven’t made a costume since last year, sigh.
I used to play Magic, but it’s been years XD;; I used to have a white deck and a green/blue deck.

Magic is one of those things I never bothered learning how to play and somehow despite loving fantasy related things, esp when it came to novels and games (being bad at it while I might add), this was not something that caught my eye.
